FAQS

I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, neurodivergence, grief, self-esteem, career difficulties, and personal growth. If you're unsure whether therapy or coaching is the right fit for your needs, feel free to reach out for a brief consultation.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll explore your current challenges, your goals for therapy, and review some background information. It’s also a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and availability. We’ll discuss what feels right for you during your first appointment.

I offer in-person sessions in Balbriggan, as well as secure online video sessions for clients who prefer remote therapy or are unable to attend in person.

Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law. There are a few legal exceptions—such as concerns related to safety—which I will fully explain in our first session.

Psychotherapy focuses on healing emotional and psychological challenges, often by exploring past experiences and working through deeper patterns. Coaching is more future-oriented and goal-driven, supporting you in making specific changes, navigating transitions, or achieving personal and professional goals. Both can be transformative—what’s most appropriate depends on your unique needs and preferences.

You can get started by booking a free consultation, sending an email to lisa@empowerme.ie, or calling 087-1829592. I’ll respond within 24–48 hours to schedule your first appointment.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people notice meaningful change within a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress together to make sure the work remains helpful and aligned with your goals.
